As mentioned above, Eero WiFi router has the ability to add a VPN service provider software which could protect all of your network and IoT devices. This means from your smart fridges to your electronic personal assistants, having a VPN on your Eero WiFi router will ensure that everything that uses internet connection are protected from the privy eyes of hackers, government and third parties

Does eero have any support pages on setting this up or recommend any particular VPN appliances? I searched for L2TP on the support pages but it returned nothing. I am interested in putting a VPN appliance behind the eero, inside my LAN to allow me to remove port forwarding from my cameras and use VPN instead. I want to learn more about this However, Eero does not support loopback NAT, so I had to configure the VPN in a way that allowed me to access the internal network resources, as if I was actually on the network, while connected to the VPN. I am looking forward to when Eero has better support for VPN on the network. Eero mise tout sur la simplicité mais pas sûrRead More Having an Eero based VPN will frustrate the ISP's attempt to charge differently for different services as they won't be able to see who you are talking to other than Eero. As you can't run "Encrypt.me" on a Roku box, there has to be a network option otherwise ISP's will know who you are talking to. This should be dead simple for the consumer to implement that is why a simple (Use VPN for Internet Services?) question would be a hit with the consumers. And yes I'm willing to pay more for this. „Eero WiFi“ maršrutizatorius yra puikus ir atrodo neapibūdinamas. Viena iš gerųjų savybių yra galimybė pridėti VPN teikėjo programinę įrangą prie savo prietaiso. Tai darydami galite apsaugoti visus savo tinklo įrenginius. Tai, be abejo, apima „IoT“ įrenginius jūsų tinkle. Nuo išmaniųjų šaldytuvų iki asmeninių asistentų niekas nenori, kad jų prietaisai pradėtų Unfortunately pptp is the only vpn protocol these devices support at the moment. It may work 1 time then I am unable to get a connection after that. If I reboot my eero's then again it may work but quickly fails. I have used many routers/firewalls for my job and never had an issue passing pptp traffic outbound. No special rules or port

Native VPN has been available for years elsewhere and it is past time that Eero add native VPN to its features on its current devices and not just the next generations. The novelty of a tidy little white mesh WiFi box will only last so long before the high market price drives other consumers away to mesh competitors who add theses advanced features. It has been nearly a year and as far as I

Coming in December, eero Plus members will be able to install the VPN service Encrypt.me on their supported devices to easily enable a VPN both when at home and away.. With the May 2017 congressional vote to block privacy protections from going into effect, people have been talking a lot about VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) to protect their online privacy. eero is the world’s first home WiFi system. A set of three eeros covers the typical home. They work in perfect unison to deliver hyper-fast, super-stable WiFi to every square foot. It’s simple to set up. Easy to manage. And gets better over time with new features and improved performance. Stream video, get work done, or swipe right in any room — not just next to your router. Finally

So my set up is that I want to have a VPN on my router. But my ISP does not support VPN management. Unfortunately neither does Eero. Is there any magical device I can put before my Eero that can manage my VPN or is the only way a different router that supports VPN management. The Eero network seems to have used one of the other Eero devices that actually WAS connected the wired LAN to maintain connectivity between the Gateway Eero and the rest of the house as a wired connection (albeit a slightly slower one). It essentially took what was a WiFi only network and converted it into a wired network without me having to do anything. A big kudos to the engineers at Eero. If all eero is providing is wireless (mesh wireless FTW), and you have another router you feel comfortable setting up and will run your VPN, put Eero in bridge mode and be done. If you don't have another router/firewall, or you do want the eero to be your router/firewall, you can still run a VPN appliance/service behind it.
